Psalm 139: 23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts.
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
As a child of God, your motive for every desire has to be properly checked to make sure it's not sponsoring your flesh but instead feeding the Spirit and has an eternal value (which means it adds value to the kingdom of God).
